Ician confirms Manchester Northern Quarter lettings

Developer Ician has confirmed three lettings at its buildings in Manchester’s trendy Northern Quarter.

Furniture retailer Urbansuite has taken 2,810 sq ft unit at the Icon 25 scheme on New George Street, which is the third phase of the Ician development.

Meanwhile the Richard Goodall Gallery has signed for a 2,155 sq ft unit fronting High Street within the same scheme.

Additionally, marketing consultancy The Innovation Partnership has taken 1,000 sq ft of offices at The Design House, which forms the second phase of Ician’s scheme.

Andrew Dewhurst of Ician, which is a joint venture between Amec and Crosby Homes, said of the lettings:

“They are three independent businesses, which is in keeping with our policy of reinforcing the originality and variety offered in the Northern Quarter.

“It’s great news for the development and testament to the growing appeal of this part of the city centre.”

Other Northern Quarter tenants include bar and restaurant outfits Bluu and Sweet Mandarin, and solicitor Thornleys.

Jenics is letting agent for Ician.
