Igloo to build Cardiff homes

Igloo Regeneration has won planning from Cardiff council for 104 new homes at its regeneration project in Cardiff Bay.

Porth Teigr is a 38-acre, mixed-use, sustainable development project being brought forward through a joint venture between igloo, an Aviva Investors Fund, and the Welsh government.

The scheme, on the eastern side of the bay, is already home to the new BBC Roath Lock Studios, the Doctor Who Experience and the Welsh government’s centre for creative industries building Gloworks.

The approval of 104 homes marks the first phase of residential development and will incorporate two- to five-storey houses and apartments. Sustainable features will include roof greenhouses and gardens.

Savills is residential agent for the development. Fletcher Morgan and Knight Frank are joint commercial agents.
