The third phase of Scarborough/Shepherd’s West Moor Park development at Doncaster has been sold to IM properties for £6.735m within eight weeks of completion.
The building named Aspect is suitable for use as a warehouse or production unit of about 123,000 sq ft and includes 5,000 sq ft of offices.
Andrew Crowther, associate director of the Scarborough Development Group said: “Our decision to build speculatively was based on our belief that South Yorkshire will continue to build on its status as a recognised national distribution location, as well as the renewed emphasis from various distributors and retailers on the importance of the east coast ports.”
Other occupiers at West Moor Park, which is near junction 4 of the M18, include Fellowes, Anglo-Beef Processors, Impact Toyota, Bergman Industrial Services and Falcon Fast Foods.
Next and Ikea have also built 650,000 sq ft units at the site with the latter embarking on a second phase, which will give the Swedish firm a total of 1.3m sq ft of space.
Scarborough/Shepherd were advised by GVA Grimley and Jones Lang Lasalle.
IM Properties was advised by Dixon Wimbush.
