Terrace Hill takes on resi
AIM-listed property company Terrace Hill has bought at.home, Nationwide’s entire rented homes business, as part of plans to move into the residential sector. This week Terrace Hill announced it had bought the portfolio of 2,253 flats and houses throughout the UK for £272.6m.
Redrow harvests Bristol farm
Redrow has exchanged contracts to buy 77 acres of undeveloped land at Wallscourt Farm in Filton, north Bristol, from Hewlett Packard and ING Real Estate for £59m. It paid a £5.9m deposit for the site, which has outline consent for 1,250 homes. HP was advised by Atisreal.
Barratt wins Harlow housing
Barratt Homes has been selected by English Partnerships, Harlow council and Harlow Sports Trust — the partners behind Harlow Gateway — to develop the housing element of the £42m scheme off Fifth Avenue in Harlow, Essex. At least 30% will be affordable, shared ownership and key worker accommodation, to be managed by Warden and Swan housing associations.
Gunnes sell family stake
Irish estate agency family the Gunnes have sold their majority interest in Gunne Residential and Gunne Financial Services to a team of investors including Gunne Residential managing director Declan Cassidy and sales director Rosemarie Gunne. Rosemarie is the aunt of Pat Gunne, the managing director of CB Richard Ellis in Ireland.
Kingsgate House
Development manager and interior design company Candy & Candy has been hired by Guernsey-based developer CPC to manage the redevelopment of Kingsgate House on Kings Road, SW10.
