Pannone in new office hunt
Law firm Pannone is preparing to launch an 85,000 sq ft office requirement in Manchester. The solicitor is currently based in around 70,000 sq ft on Manchester’s Deansgate, in John Dalton House, Lincoln House and 123 Deansgate.
Cohen switches to Cluttons
Cluttons has recruited central London agent Ken Cohen as a partner in its commercial division. Cohen will work with partner Ralph Pearson to bolster the firm’s commercial transaction business. Cohen joins from DE&J Levy, where he worked on a number of central London schemes, including P&O’s and LaSalle Investment Management’s Regent Quarter in King’s Cross, N1.
Ikano on move to Nottingham
Credit provider Ikano Financial Services is to move its UK headquarters and call centre operation to McAleer & Rushe’s 1m sq ft mixed-use Southside project in Nottingham. Ikano will take two floors totalling 17,500 sq ft at Waterfront House. Quoting rents are £17.50 per sq ft. Innes England advised Ikano; Fisher Hargreaves Proctor acted for McAleer & Rushe.
Gresham scores City high
Hermes Real Estate has achieved the highest rent in the City this cycle at its 240,000 sq ft 20 Gresham Street, EC2. Standard Bank has taken a further 31,600 sq ft in the building, paying £53 per sq ft. Jones Lang LaSalle and DTZ act for Hermes; Spring 4 advised Standard Bank.
CWM appointed to dig out Kate Spade’s debut stores
US fashion and accessories retailer Kate Spade is looking for its first stores in the UK. It is seeking as many as three shops of 2,500 sq ft in London, at sites including Sloane Street, Bond Street, Regent Street and Covent Garden. Kate Spade has 36 shops in the US. CWM is advising.
