India’s ‘vaccine prince’ buys London mansion for £138m

Indian billionaire Adar Poonawalla has reached a deal for London’s most expensive home sale of the year.

The “vaccine prince” has agreed to pay about £138m for a 25,000 sq ft Mayfair mansion.

Aberconway House, a vast 1920s home near Hyde Park, will now change hands after a sale was agreed by Dominika Kulczyk, daughter of the late businessman Jan Kulczyk, who was once Poland’s richest man.

It will be the second-most expensive home ever sold in London, after the £210m sale of 2-8a Rutland Gate in January 2020.
