English Heritage an has announced a campaign to preserve some of Britains finest examples of historic industrial buildings.
The campaign was announced a this weeks conference of the International Committee for the Conservation of Industrial Heritage.
Industrial sites that are listed, but waiting for schemes to preserve their future, include Battersea power station, the Midland Hotel at St Pancras, the concrete-clad Paddington depot, all in London, and the former sugar silo in Liverpool and the 1828 slaughterhouse, at Gosport Hampshire.
