Industry applauds South East Property Company and Property Adviser of the Year

Wrenbridge: Best Property Company

Wrenbridge has done it again. The Palmer Capital-backed developers have yet again won EG’s South East Property Company of the Year award. Director Jeff Wilson and development surveyor James Gray were both justifiably delighted as they collected their award at the glamorous surrounds of Wentworth golf club in Surrey.

The industry has applauded the company’s developments, such as The Square in Colchester. Here, the company took tired, tertiary office accommodation and, with what Clive Read, partner of Real Estate Group at SGH Martineau, calls “imagination and flair”, extended the building and turned it into grade-A space that is now Spicerhaart’s UK HQ.

“They look beyond the immediate fabric of the building and turn it into something a lot more exciting and relevant for today’s businesses,” says Read. “They have excellent people, who are focused and have a clear sense of direction, which means that if they’re involved you know the deal will happen. They’re a class act.”

Others point to how Wrenbridge has made a splash in the region. Iain Mulvey, director and head of business development at GVA, says: “I’m impressed with how Wrenbridge Land has made an impact in a market, which is very difficult to penetrate.”

The gong cupboard at Savills must be groaning under the weight of its trophies. The agent lifted the Estates Gazette Award for South East Property Adviser of the Year, matching similar wins across the country. And with close on 60% of you voting for the agent in this region, it was a clear winner.

Those who voted applauded Savills’ first-class team. “They have excellent experience and knowledge of today’s markets and have a tremendous amount of energy within their team,” says Richard Cherry, deputy chairman at Countryside Properties.

Others pointed to the team’s wide-ranging portfolio. “It enables them to advise private and public sector clients in a constructive way,” says one who preferred to stay anonymous.
