Some 639 runners entered the property industry’s biggest annual 10k race on Clapham Common, SW4, with a further 105 running a new 5k course.

In the women’s 10K race, Lois Bond of Knight Frank crossed the line first in a time of 41.19 and in the men’s 10K race Michael Wright of Watts Group won the men’s event in 34.52. It was his third consecutive victory.

Beth West of Landsec was crowned fastest female over 45 with a time of 54.29, while Steve Murphy of Argus Software took the title of fastest male in the same category, completing the course in 35.53. Deka Bank won the fastest team prize.

All donations from this year’s LandAid’s 10K will go directly to projects across the country which are creating safe, secure and affordable housing for young homeless people.

After running the race himself, LandAid chief executive Paul Morrish said:  “I am so proud to once again see so many property professionals sprinting, running, jogging or just crawling around the 10k and the 5k courses to end youth homelessness – and so grateful.

“Every penny raised today will make a difference to the lives of young homeless people across the country.”

Kent Gardner, chief executive of Evans Randall Investors, headline sponsor and also a competitor, said: “Evans Randall is so pleased to be supporting the LandAid 10K again.

“The enormous success of today’s event not only solidifies the LandAid 10K as property’s biggest running event but has raised thousands of pounds in valuable funds to help young people.”
