Industry leaders to plant seeds of opportunity in Big Apple

new-york-skylineThe special relationship between London and New York will be debated at the iconic World Trade Center in New York this month at an event hosted by Estates Gazette in partnership with Savills and the Department for International Trade.

A 15-strong delegation of industry leaders will travel to the Big Apple to participate in the event on 21-23 September and strike new deals as part of an investment mission to North America, which will also include a parallel event in Toronto.

North America poured £51bn of capital into the UK in 2015 and the aim of the trip is to strengthen the UK’s ties with global investors. Sajid Javid, the secretary of state for communities and local government, will join the delegation in Toronto.

Others in the delegation include Sir Edward Lister, special adviser to the Department for International Trade and chairman of the Homes and Communities Agency; M&G’s Alex Greaves; Stephen Down, head of central London and international investment at Savills, and PLP Architecture’s Lee Polisano.
