Minerva co-founder and property tycoon Andrew Rosenfeld has died at the age of 52 following a short illness.
The People’s Operator, the mobile phone firm he floated in 2014, said Rosenfeld had passed away yesterday.
Born in London, Rosenfeld completed the estates management course at London’s South Bank University then joined Schroders’ property funds division, moving to trading group SW Berisford two years later.
In 1986, aged 24, Rosenfeld was approached by David Garrard and asked to join Land Investors as a director. In 1989 the pair co-founded Minerva. He became chairman in 2005 but stepped down a year later, selling his stake.
He then moved to Geneva to set up investment group Air Capital and formed a real estate partnership with Goldman Sachs’ Whitehall Fund.
