InfraRed signs 15-year lease at One Bartholomew

Infrastructure and real estate investment manager InfraRed has signed a 15-year lease with AshbyCapital and Helical to take up 19,609 sq ft of space at One Bartholomew, EC1.

InfraRed will take the seventh floor at the 221,000 sq ft office building, which has been developed by Helical on behalf of owner AshbyCapital.

The 12-floor office building is part of the 3-acre mixed-use development Barts Square, located between St Paul’s and Smithfield.

Approximately 236 new homes, 10 retail and restaurant units and 250,000 sq ft of space over three buildings have been created under the scheme.

InfraRed will join existing tenants the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, which signed a lease in April to take 43,000 sq ft of space in One Bartholomew, and Trade Desk Inc, which has taken the top four floors of space compromising 74,210 sq ft.

This leaves 77,000 sq ft over four floors of space available.

Helical chief executive Gerald Kaye said: “One Bartholomew has already gained an outstanding reputation and this is borne out by the high calibre of tenants we are attracting.

“We are very pleased to welcome InfraRed to the building which is an expanding internationally recognised business.

“There are still high levels of demand for quality office space in London and Barts Square’s prime location in the heart of the City delivers this, as well as extensive public realm improvements, excellent transport links and restaurant offerings.”
