ING Direct is scouring sites in Cardiff and Southampton to meet a 30,000 sq ft back office requirement.
The business, part of International Netherlands Group (ING), needs the extra space to fulfil a 300-job expansion programme.
A spokesman said: “We are looking at a number of locations, but at this stage we have not ruled anything in or out. We need a new centre in the UK as we are experiencing strong growth in the marketplace for our savings account product.”
ING Direct currently only has one operation in the UK at Reading, which opened last year.
