Inland Homes hails record end to year

Inland Homes had an “extremely productive” end to 2017 with a record 500 homes under construction, the company has said in its latest trading update.

The brownfield regeneration specialist completed £12.7m of disposals in December, including the sale of 146 plots in Birmingham to Crest Nicholson.

Inland entered into a joint venture with Anderson Group to develop a site for 95 houses at Europe Way, Ipswich, at an estimated gross development value of £16m.

Its Inland Partnerships subsidiary, which provides homes for housing associations, PRS funds and local authorities, also entered into a £29.5m contract to build 136 homes for Affinity Sutton Housing Association at Abbey Wharf in the London borough of Brent.

Inland Homes chief executive Stephen Wicks said: “As we head into the new year, Inland Homes is well placed to achieve further significant growth in 2018, with the in-house construction team now well established and beginning to bear fruit.

“We have had an extremely productive period, culminating in a number of profitable land sales and a growing order book for Inland Partnerships.

“Our housebuilding programme is at a record level, with more than 500 homes under construction and a healthy pipeline of new development projects in place for the coming months, supporting our positive outlook.”
