Inland Homes has signed the government’s building safety repairs contract, leaving just six developers on the the “non-compliance” list.
The developer confirmed that it had signed the Self Remediation Contract on Friday. The contract is being used by levelling up, housing & communities secretary Michael Gove to oblige developers to pay to fix “unsafe buildings”.
Inland Homes will now reimburse any funds disbursed by the government’s Building Safety Fund for buildings it has developed.
Chief executive Stephen Wicks posted on social media: “Inland Homes has signed the government’s cladding pledge today, no longer standing on the naughty chair!”
Just six developers remain on the “non-compliance” list: Abbey Developments, Avant, Dandara, Emerson Group’s Jones Homes, Galliard Homes and Rydon Homes.
Inland said this morning that it had exchanged conditional contracts to sell 31 affordable homes to Eastlight Community Homes for £6.54m. The sale forms part of its Templar Green development in Essex.
