Inland Homes wins consent for £620m Cheshunt Lakeside regen

Inland Homes has gained approval from Broxbourne Council to build a new “urban village” with an estimated GDV of £620m at Cheshunt Lakeside in Hertfordshire.

The masterplan includes 1,725 homes, 204,514 sq ft (19,000 sq m) of commercial space, and a new primary school.

A section 106 planning agreement will be signed by the parties “as soon as possible”, which will release the planning permission within the current financial period ending 30 September.

Inland Homes said delivery of the first phase, consisting of 195 homes, will be “brought forward at the earliest opportunity”.

Chief executive Stephen Wicks said Cheshunt Lakeside was the largest planning approval obtained by Inland Homes since its incorporation, and “a major milestone for the business”.
