Inland Revenue signs for West Lothian business park

In one of the largest occupational deals in Scotland this year, the Inland Revenue has taken more than 100,000 sq ft (9,290 sq m) of offices at the Pyramids Business Park (pictured), Bathgate, West Lothian.

The offices are in a single building at the 93-acre (37.6ha) park.

The Inland Revenue will open a contact centre there early next year, with 800 staff, 300 of which will relocate from other offices in the area.

The building was bought by Henderson Global Investors in partnership with Scottish Capital Group (SCG) in May 2002, and has recently undergone a £3m refurbishment.

Ryden advised Henderson and SCG, while ATIS REAL Weatheralls represented the Inland Revenue.

Knight Frank and Ryden are joint letting agents on the scheme. The rent has not been disclosed.
