Inquiry into homes with hangars scheme, Henstridge, Somerset

The DOE has launched a public inquiry into an innovative housing scheme on the site of a disused airfield in Somerset. Kedgeworth Holdings proposes to build an 80.94ha (200 acre) “airpark” in Henstridge, Somerset.

The scheme would offer buyers 0.4ha (1 acre) of land for office space, double garage garden and hangar for about £300,000.

The site is the former royal naval air station HMS Dipper. The developer has run into local opposition.
