Inspired installs new leadership

Legal & General and Natwest-backed retirement home operator and developer Inspired Villages has hired a new team to lead the business.

The group has appointed Nick Edwards as chief executive. Edwards replaces Jamie Bunce, who has run the business since November 2014.

Other members of the senior leadership team, including chief development and property officer Neale Dale, chief customer officer James Cobb and HR director Lawrence Cramer, are also stepping down from their roles to “explore new ventures”.

Edwards joins Inspired from rival Audley Group, where he was chief operating officer. Prior to Audley Group he was chief financial officer at Moorfield Group.

L&G managing director of housing Simon Century has become chairman of the business, in line with his other chairmanships across L&G’s housing businesses.

Together Edwards and Century are tasked with delivering the next phase of the business plan for Inspired.

Century said Edwards’ “wealth of experience” made him “a terrific leader for the exciting next stages of the business”.
