Residents of Tulse Hill and Dulwich – the SE21 postcode – made the highest number of insurance claims for theft in the UK over the last two years, research by the MoneySuperMarket website showed.
The website analysed 2m home insurance claims and found that London boroughs accounted for 16 of the 20 worst areas for burglaries. Residents of Tulse Hill and Dulwich made 61.2 claims per 1,000 quotes.
The other areas in the top 20 were Chorlton-cum-Hardy in Manchester, Hawksworth and Kirstall in Leeds, and West Bromwich.
