Insurance giant Admiral has launched a 35,000 sq ft requirement in Newport, South Wales.
Admiral already occupies more than 120,000 sq ft in offices in Cardiff and Swansea and recently opened a 200-job call centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Rents in Newport are more than 20% below those of neighbouring Cardiff, while Admiral also believes the city offers an untapped workforce pool.
Admiral recently acquired a further 10,000 sq ft at Friary House, Greyfriars Road, Cardiff, and 3,200 sq ft on the first floor of nearby Capital Tower.
Last year it expanded into Swansea, taking the new 68,000 sq ft Cyprium Building at SA1 waterfront regeneration project from developer Terrace Hill.
