Interactive inflatable park to launch in the UK

British Land has secured the launch of the UK’s first interactive inflatable park at its Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield, which it owns jointly with Norges Bank.

Air Haus, designed in Holland, will take up 15,000 sq ft at the centre and will open this autumn. The concept, which involves interactive technology, challenges visitors to race each other across its course and scale the park’s 8m peak.

The site, which will add 60 new jobs to Sheffield over the next 12 months, will also feature a restaurant for its guests.

Jack Pendlebury, director of Air Haus, said: “Air Haus offers a new and exciting concept for families and friends to enjoy, bringing the very best of technology and traditional games together.

“Meadowhall’s recent £60m refurbishment has made it the perfect location to launch our UK debut site and we are proud to be joining such a great venue.”

Colliers acted for British Land and Air Haus dealt direct.
