Internos Real Investors has appointed RREEF’s former head of UK asset management, Steven Faber, to devise and implement a UK fund strategy.
Faber, who worked for RREEF for nine years, leading the UK asset management team and working as a portfolio manager dealing extensively with the creation and launch of a new annuity-style fund, will be responsible for building Internos’s UK assets under management.
The fund manager, which owns and manages €2.1bn of real estate, has also made four other appointments across Europe.
In the Netherlands Hugo van der Goes has been appointed as managing director of Internos BV, joining from IVG Immobilien AG, where he was director of European portfolios and managing director of the Netherlands and France.
He will be responsible for building and leading the Dutch business, securing new capital and mandates, further strengthening transactions and asset management capabilities, and providing strategic advice in relation to the broader European business.
Also joining the Amsterdam office is Pamela de Lange Storck as senior financial controller, responsible for the EIRE and Alecta portfolios. Pamela has a number of years of international accounting experience, having previously worked for DTZ in Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Budapest, and most recently as a consultant in Chicago and Malaysia
In France, François Lay will join the Paris team as an asset manager having spent the past four years with Rynda France SAS as a property manager.
In Luxembourg, Susanne Merz has joined the team to provide office management and paralegal support.
Internos chief executive Andrew Thornton said: “We are delighted to announce these five new appointments and look forward to welcoming them into the Internos team.
“Following the successful first close of our Hotel and Leisure Fund, these appointments reflect our strategy to build assets under management in the UK as well as drive our asset management and transactions activities in the Netherlands.”
