US-based hotel management firm Interstate Hotels & Resorts has bolstered its presence in the UK by buying Chardon Management.
The independent management company’s portfolio includes 32 hotels, with 3,414 bedrooms, consisting of Holiday Inn Express and Holiday Inn branded hotels plus Hotel Indigo, Best Western, Choice, Ibis Styles and independent hotel brands.
In March, Interstate Hotels & Resorts entered the UK market with the acquisition ?of the management platform Sanguine Hospitality – a Liverpool-based hospitality development and ownership company. Its portfolio comprised 14 hotels.
The latest purchase brings Interstate’s total UK portfolio to 47 hotels either open or under development.
Jim Abrahamson, chief executive of Interstate Hotels & Resorts, said: “With this acquisition, we believe Interstate is now established as the pre-eminent hotel management company in the UK and Irish markets, offering institutional and private investors a world-class hotel management platform.”
