An actress has reportedly run up £800,000 in legal fees fighting for a share of her parents £3m house.
Tamara Lucas is suing her siblings after her mother decided to leave the entirety of the family’s grade II listed house, Sandleford Place, near Newbury, to Lucas’s younger brother, Alex Gatward.
According to her siblings’ lawyer, Lucas was left out of the inheritance because she had a “troublesome nature” and was “intolerably messy”.
It was also pointed out that her parents had bought her a flat when she was a student before, also helping her buy other properties.
Lucas now owns homes worth about £2m, from which she receives a rental income, the court heard.
