The former chief financial officer of shopping centre owner intu has joined the Crown Estate.
Robert Allen has taken up the role of interim chief financial officer at the landed estate, stepping into the role left vacant by Kate Bowyer. Bowyer announced her intention to leave the business in January this year.
Allen was appointed CFO at intu in 2019.
Prior to his stint at intu, Allen also worked at Crest Nicholson and British American Tobacco.
The Crown said Allen has “extensive international financial leadership experience at market, regional and global level” and broad cross-sector knowledge encompassing strategy and leadership, M&A, investor relations, financial risk management, commercial execution and IT.
He reports directly to chief executive Dan Labbad.
