The contractor and engineer behind British Land and Oxford Properties’ City skyscraper has launched an investigation after a pair of steel bolts on the building broke.
Laing O’Rourke and Arup have cordoned off an area around 122 Leadenhall Street, EC3, – dubbed the Cheesegrater – to carry out an examination of the remaining bolts on the building.
A statement issued by the developers said no one had been injured by the bolts and that there was “no risk to the structural integrity of the building”.
