Investors look further afield in Barcelona

Owing to the lack of quality property available in Barcelonas office property market, large national and international investors are becoming involved in building projects in Barcelonas future business district, Plaza Cerdà. Investment is also being directed towards the areas of Diagonal-Glòries, Sant Cugat and Mas Blau.

Goldman Sachs, Lar and Rodamco have for example launched two building projects in Plaza Cerdà, which cover a total area of 23,000m2 and require a total investment of 38.76m euro. Up to now, investors in Barcelonas property market have been mainly local operators, such as Inmobiliaria Colonial and Prima Inmobiliara.
