IPIF lets south Wales shed to furniture manufacturer

Industrial Property Investment Fund (IPIF) has leased a 130,000 sq ft factory at Bridgend, South Wales, to furniture maker Steinhoff UK Upholstery.

Steinhoff has taken a 10-year lease at undisclosed terms at the Bridgend Industrial Estate on a building which fell vacant six weeks ago when another furniture manufacturer, Pendragon, pulled out.

Most of Steinhoff’s initial output at Bridgend will supply Homestyle stores, in which it is the main shareholder.

IPIF was represented by King Sturge.
