Private equity expert Joy Abiola has joined real estate stock exchange IPSX to help build investment from family offices, private wealth and institutions across the UK and Europe.
She joins the firm as director of capital markets, from GP Bullhound Investment Management where her role encompassed fundraising and investor relations and saw her introduce and manage more than 600 institutional investors.
Abiola, who will report into Roger Clarke, managing director and head of capital markets at IPSX, said: “The market is shifting towards single-asset listings and the work that the exchange has done in terms of transparency and liquidity is likely to be very attractive to investors.”
Clarke said Abiola’s focus would be on developing strategies to access the private wealth and family office sectors as IPSX looks to admit more securities to trading “in the very near future”.
IPSX finally secured its first listing in May, with Birmingham’s Mailbox office becoming the debut IPO on the property-focused exchange.
