Plans for a 21-storey mixed-use tower in New Islington, east Manchester, have been submitted by ISIS Waterside.
Phase 1 of the Islington Wharf scheme on Great Ancoats Street includes 200 apartments and two leisure units totalling 14,200 sq ft.
The developer also aims to secure consent for a further 341 apartments, a foodstore of 13,400 sq ft and additional shops and leisure units, as well as a 100-bedroom hotel.
The tower and four further residential buildings have been designed by Broadway Malyan.
ISIS a joint venture between Amec Investments, British Waterways and Morley Fund Management’s Igloo Regeneration Fund hopes to begin work on the site in late summer, with completion of phase 1 due in 2007. DTZ is acting as consultant.
