The Issa brothers are on the verge of finalising their £6.8bn debt-fuelled buyout of Asda.
As the brothers attempt to add Caffe Nero to their growing empire, the Asda deal looks certain to go ahead virtually unabridged, after their EG Group and TDR Capital offered to sell 27 petrol stations to allay competition concerns.
On Wednesday, the CMA said there were reasonable grounds to consider accepting an offer.
