It’s still a numbers game as Five Guys plans expansion

The restaurant sector may be suffering from rising costs and fierce competition, but Five Guys has no plans to take its foot off the expansion pedal in Britain.

The premium burger chain, co-owned in the UK by Sir Charles Dunstone, the Carphone Warehouse co-founder, increased its British revenues by 23 per cent to £149.6 million last year on the back of ten openings and it will open another ten to fifteen restaurants this year.
