ITT Sheraton is considering selling some of its Italian Ciga hotels to shore up its defence against a hostile takeover bid worth £4.05bn by Hilton Hotels.
ITT recently sold Madison Square Gardens for £650m and is understood to be embarking on a policy of disposing of non-core assets.
