ITV Granada is to invite expressions of interest for the redevelopment of the 21 acre headquarters of its Coronation Street set in Manchester City centre.
The move could decide whether the television company relocates to the proposed “media city” development in Salford alongside the BBC.
An ITV Granada decision not to take part in the media city could reduce the impact of the scheme.
