ITV plans resi-based South Bank studios

ITV has submitted an EIA application to Lambeth Council to redevelop its London Television Studios site on the South Bank, SE1.

The famous 25-storey landmark will be demolished to make way for a 38-storey residential-led tower providing up to 270 homes.

The new tower proposes to replace the ITV headquarters, built in 1972, with state-of-the-art television studios, offices, and studio accommodation.

Alongside the residential tower, lower-rise podiums will house non-residential floorspace, typically studio floorpsace, office space, hospitality galleries and production studios. The six-storey main podium will be flanked by two towers, of nine and 14 storeys, along the Queen’s Walk frontage.

Cundall Johnston & Partners is advising ITV.
