Ivana Trump, the first wife of president and property mogul Donald Trump, has died aged 73.
Ivana married Trump in 1977 and, despite a messy divorce in 1992, remained close.
She was described as a workaholic, and was a key player in early projects including Trump Tower in Manhattan and the Trump Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City. She also ran one of her husband’s Atlantic City casinos, the Trump Castle, and managed the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan.
The mother of Trump’s eldest three children, Ivana Zelnickova was born in the Czechoslovak city of Gottwaldov, moving to the Canada and then the US to pursue a modelling career.
