Jackie Sadek is to join the UKTI Regeneration Investment Organisation (RIO) as chief strategy officer.
The RIO was launched November 2013 and was set up to direct investment into the UK’s £100bn pipeline of UK regeneration projects.
Sadek will be working with former lord mayor of London Sir Michael Bear, to boost funding for schemes across the country.
Her role will include matching UK investors with overseas funders as well leveraging government funds to attract foreign investment into regeneration schemes.
Sadek joins the organisation following the end of her 12-month fixed-term contract as policy adviser on urban regeneration to minister for universities, science and cities Greg Clark MP.
Previously, Sadek was head of regeneration at CBRE before acting as chief executive of UK Regeneration.
The RIO is also currently searching for a chief executive.
