James A Baker extends lead at the top of EG’s hotel and leisure rankings

James A Baker has increased its lead at the top of EG’s leaderboard of the most active agents in the hotel and leisure market, after a 10,440 sq ft sale in Paignton, Devon.

The agent acted for an undisclosed vendor on the sale of the Lime Tree pub on Dartmouth Road (pictured), which closed in 2019 following a fire. A private individual purchased the freehold of the property for £375,000 on 24 September.

James A Baker leads the pack in the hotel and leisure sector, having acted on 92,517 sq ft of lettings and occupational sales in the year to date. In second place is Everard Cole, having transacted 49,578 sq ft of deals, with the top five being completed by Graham + Sibbald on 38,227 sq ft, Flude Property Consultants on 26,568 sq ft and Roche Chartered Surveyors on 24,541 sq ft.

The deal was revealed by the EG Radius On-Demand Rankings, a new tool to provide a snapshot view of the latest commercial property deals and which agents are landing them across the UK.
