James Ritblat buys retail park in Llanelli for £14m from Liberty Properties at 8%

James Ritblat’s Freehold Property Estates has completed a £14m deal to buy Liberty Properties’ Parc Trostre retail park in Llanelli at a yield of 8%.

The 15,000 sq m (161,463 sq ft) retail park, developed by BJ Group Swansea – as Liberty was formerly known – is occupied by tenants including Halfords, MFI, Norweb, Tiles R Us and Sports Division.

Parc Trostre produces a rent roll of over £1m and the largest 3,716 sq m (40,000 sq ft) unit is occupied by Great Mills. The second phase of the development was completed in September last year.

Freehold Property Estates was advised by Chesterton. Liberty Properties was unrepresented.
