Jamie Oliver cooks up deal for Pukka Eastleigh shed

TV chef Jamie Oliver has taken a 110,000 sq ft distribution warehouse in Eastleigh, Hampshire, to serve his growing retail business.

The Avalon building, on the Boyatt Wood industrial estate, has been leased on a six-year lease, subject to a tenant break clause at the third year, from Craigard Investments.

Just Data Systems has taken the building on behalf of The Jamie Oliver Group’s trading arm Jme. It will be used to distribute eclectic goods under the “Jamie At Home” brand.

Just Data managing director Mike Thom said: “Avalon ideally suited our logistical and occupational needs and we were delighted to find a building twice the size of our original requirement but within our budgeted occupational costs.

“The additional warehouse space was a bonus to us as there has been significant success and growth of the “Jamie at Home” products business and our latest business projections show that it will not take us long to fill the building for The Jme Group”.

Hurst Warne advised Just Data Systems; King Sturge and Lambert Smith Hampton advised Craigard Investments.
