Jamie’s Italian moves into Nottingham

Jamie Oliver is to open a restaurant in Nottingham’s fashionable Low Pavement area in the historic quarter of the city.

The chef is bringing his Jamie’s Italian chain to Nottingham on the site of the former grade II-listed Jass Café.

The 36,673 sq ft restaurant will be spread over five floors, including a basement located on Low Pavement.

The news follows on from fellow chef Antonio Carluccio’s announcement two weeks ago that it is looking to open a restaurant on the same street in the city.

Jamie’s Nottingham restaurant will be launched after other proposed operations come on stream in Leeds, Liverpool and Glasgow.

Subject to planning consent this summer, the restaurant will be open for business in early 2011.

Fisher Hargreaves Proctor advised landlord Dayscape New Prior.
