Jamie’s Italian to swallow £80m of creditors money

Creditors are set to lose £80m after the collapse of the Jamie’s Italian restaurant chain last May.

Administrators KPMG said that Jamie Oliver’s holding company would lose much of the £57.7m the failed chain owned it, while lender HSBC, as well as suppliers and councils were unlikely to get much of the money they were owned.

KPMG said in an update that secured creditors would “suffer a significant shortfall”.
