Jansons Property has won planning permission for a 39,817 sq ft retail and leisure scheme in Reading.
The £11m development on Basingstoke Road will include a 16,512 sq ft Aldi supermarket, a 16,305 sq ft Pure Gym and a pub.
The three-acre site at 350 Basingstoke Road is adjacent to a Morrisons supermarket and currently occupied by two vacant office buildings, totalling 60,000 sq ft.
Director Andy Jansons said: “The new retail and leisure outlets will bring additional choice, employment and facilities to the local area, as well as improving the appearance of the site from Basingstoke Road.”
Construction is due to start in January 2015 with completion expected by the autumn.
