JD Sports shares have been shaken by investor jitters in recent months following concerns about the implication of Foot Lockers sales shock and a resurgent Sports Direct.
However, investors needn’t have worried as JC Sports shrugged off all these fears by delivering a 41% jump in sales and a 33% rise in pre-tax profits to £102.7m in the six months to the end of July.
During the period, JD Sports opened 12 new stores in the UK and Ireland and 23 across mainland Europe. It also opened its first stores in Australia.
