JD Sports sells Footasylum for knock-down £37.5m

JD Sports is selling Footasylum for the knock-down price of £37.5m.

The sports-fashion retailer bought its smaller rival in March 2019 for £90m, but has been forced by the Competition and Markets Authority to divest the chain.

Aurelius, the German private equity group that also owns Scholl Shoes and Lloyds Pharmacy, is buying its 65 stores.
