Jim Thompson has resigned as chief executive at David McLean Developments (DMD).
Belfast-born Thompson was instrumental in the company’s move into commercial development, including its successful joint venture with Mersey Docks & Harbour Company at Liverpool’s Princes Dock and its recent appointment as preferred developer at Birmingham’s £300m Masshouse project.
The Princes Dock joint venture ended recently, following a £9m buyout of David McLean’s 50% stake.
Thompson led the development arm of the family-owned contractor and housebuilder, which was founded in 1991.
