JJB sports expects to add two health clubs and a soccer dome to its three leisure sites this year.
It also plans to open 26 new superstores, according to The Guardian and 40 a year, according to The Daily Telegraph.
The 436-strong chain has been gradually migrating from high street stores to out-of-town superstores. These now comprise nearly half its 426 branches. It plans to close 50-100 smaller stores. The numbers vary in the different newspapers.
