JLL 5k run: taking it in stride

More than 600 runners stormed around Regent’s Park on 27 August for the seventh annual JLL Property 5k run.

Despite grey clouds and raindrops, a carnival atmosphere prevailed, with a steel band seeing the runners off and then welcoming the winner home.

Taking top spot was Alan Silvester of JLL, who raced home in just under 17 minutes. Hot on his heels was Marc Leyshaw of Wedlake Bell. The fastest female honour went to Amy Bryant of Gerald Eve, who turned in a time of 20.05.

JLL chief executive Guy Grainger, who usually competes in the race but this year was injured, said: “We’re really proud of the event. It’s a great way to get our people out of the office and engage with the community.”

The run raised £20,000 for Starlight Children’s Foundation.
