JLL adds former BNP PRE director to industrial and logistics team

JLL has strengthened its industrial and logistics division with an appointment of Paul Smyth as director in its strategic occupier solutions team. Smyth has 30 years’ experience in the industrial and logistics sector, particularly in the occupier and trade counter markets. He founded PKS Property in 2009, alongside holding the position of senior director in BNP Paribas Real Estate’s national industrial and logistics agency team. Prior to that, he had served at Chesterton International, Atisreal and AGL. At JLL, Smyth will be based in London office, supporting the national team now comprising six members within the larger 13-staff occupier services group, which provides supply chain consultancy, warehouse design, network design and site selection services. Giles Weir, senior director and head of strategic occupier solutions for industrial and logistics at JLL, said: “Our tenant representation team continues to expand, and Paul will be an addition at director level to both support and help grow us further. “Occupiers have a growing need for strategic advice and, coupled with the synergies created with our supply chain business, there is a strong pipeline of mandates in place with several more coming through. Paul’s track record and knowledge in the occupier sector will assist with our plans for expansion and ability to service our clients.”
